The length of its strings distinguishes a grand piano.  The longer strings produce a richer sound with lower inharmonicity, giving the listener a full, mellow listening experience.  I’ve never met a pianist who doesn’t sit down at a grand piano with the expectation of pleasure, knowing what will come from those keys.

The thought of having to move your piano is enough to make your head spin, especially for those who have no knowledge of piano moving in the first place.  If you have ever thought it’s not that heavy, you are setting yourself up for a big surprise in the end.  Dropping or breaking a piano will cost you thousands of dollars in repairs or a replacement.

One day I watched my brother Dave play piano seemingly effortlessly and wondered what the secret was. I badgered him to show me something, anything. He showed me one little trick. From there, I taught myself the basics and wound up a pretty good player. Eventually I took a few lessons, but by that point, all my lessons did was fill gaps in my knowledge. In other words, I may have had a slight gift, but I know for sure that I’d inadvertently stumbled upon a series of shortcuts to learning how to play this wonderful instrument.

Piano repair is not a DIY project.  There are some things better left in the hands of trained specialists, and brain surgery and piano repair are the two top ones in my opinion.  Notwithstanding the fact that I am guilty as a child of rubber banding some felts that were being obstinate, and gluing a shiv onto a hammer that simply could not reach far enough any more.  Do as I preach, not as I did as a classical loving 12 year old.

There are many reasons that people pursue piano lessons, and everyone finds their own motivation for cultivating their musical talent. Of course, there are common reasons, like wanting to play in a band, wanting to be able to be able to play one’s favorite songs, and so on. There is nothing wrong at all with any of those reasons for undertaking piano lessons, but I find that there are also some amazing benefits that people don’t necessarily think of when consider music lessons. When I was a little girl I always dreamed of playing the piano.  One year for Christmas I was surprised whenever I walked into our family room and saw that my dream had come true.  I played it all Christmas Day but did not have the slightest idea of how to play a piano.  Soon after Christmas, my parents signed me up at a local music store for piano lessons.  The enjoyment I had through my childhood has led to many new avenues of piano playing today.  Below are five tips to purchasing a Piano.  It is wonderful when dreams finally come true.

Recently our family decided to shop for a piano. This was a big decision and just what type was important to us. So, we checked into baby grand piano prices a lot before we When I was growing up, we always had a piano and I learned to play as a child. While I do not play as proficiently as my mother does, I had missed it. Our daughter, has the potential to be quite good. She has been actively using her keyboard for the past two years. This was our most motivating force to purchase one now.
